Weekly! Fuuka 4

When you have a sister working for an advertising company, you get some perks. When you're a new transfer student and still have no friends, who will you invite to watch a movie? You probably know how this story will end...

Flying Fuuka!

Previously on: Fuuka 3: We are introduced to Koyuki "Tama" Hinashi; Yuu's childhood friend and maybe his first love? (BTW, Tama-chan is a famous idol.) Yuu sees Fuuka crying and came to the conclusion that she got rejected by the upperclassman who recruited her to the Track Club. She clears it up with Yuu and he runs away like a wuss again. We get to see a connection finally building up.

Spoiler Alert! If you are gonna read this post, please read the actual manga first!

Summary: Yuu sees her sisters fighting over movie tickets and his sister Maya gave him two tickets to a romance movie; Half & Half (I did my research and found out that it was a former project of Seo Kouji [The series' mangaka] with someone else). Without any friends, he doesn't have a clue on who to invite. Fortunately, Fuuka sees Yuu's ticket and wishes that she could see the movie. Yuu, then invited her to see the movie with him. They agreed on a date and a place to meet.

Lesson: Don't act smart.

Sunday, Yuu waits for Fuuka at the Hachiko statue (google it, it's a cool story about a dog and her loyalty to her master). He waits for more than 40 minutes for Fuuka when we see Fuuka also waiting for Yuu in front of Hachiko. They miss each other in a cliche way when Yuu thought that it might be the wrong statue.

He sells drugs?!

Fuuka notices Yuu running away. She climbs a railing and tries to listen to the surrounding area (that's what it looks like to me). When she sees him and screams "Yuu-kun!" This got Yuu's attention and he replied back. Running back to Fuuka's position, she loses her balance, falls into Yuu. Yuu gets a knee to the face.

Likes: New look for Fuuka? I know the school uniform is girly enough but it's still a uniform. I want to see her in a frilly dress or something that really accents her beauty. Well, short shorts and a tank top is enough.

New look right?

Dislikes: The cliche "meeting mess-up." Really? Is there such a thing as missing each other when you're that close? Aren't you going to walk around and look for your date? I certainly would. Kouji-sensei probably didn't have anything to write about this chapter so he just went with a cliche date theme. This disappoints me.

Quirks: Why would Yuu take the movie tickets if he didn't really have anyone in mind to invite? It's just stupid. It's like a responsibility. Give it to someone else that can use it, but you know what? This ticket brought the two together which is a nice way to segue from a "I only know him/her" to a budding relationship.

This is actually the chapter cover art for that title.

Predictions: Fuuka crying, Yuu holds her hand, something romantic... I don't know. Anything can happen inside a theater. I'm excited to see the next chapter. Hopefully we do see a movie scene. >.<

This was quick right? There wasn't much to talk about but still, it's a nice build-up chapter. What's gotten over me? Probably the late night energy drink is kicking in... >:o
