Weekly! All you need is Kill 3

Oh, we're listing rules now? This is becoming more and more of what I expected out of Takeshi Obata! Death Note everybody! Keiji has died a ton of times now, he has killed a lot of mimics but he's looking for something better to help him. We're focused more on Keiji's weapons rather than his training.

Young Jump Issue #9 2014

Previously on: All you need is Kill 2: Rita is revealed as a heartless opportunist. Moments in each respawn can vary depending on Keiji's actions. He tries to learn the art of war from Sergeant Bartolome since he's a survivor.

Spoiler Alert! If you are gonna read this post, please read the actual manga first!

Summary: Keiji has died 12 times since the last chapter. He is currently gathering courage to go close quarters with mimics since only melee weapons are effective with them. In his 21st respawn, he nails a mimic without getting killed.

Despite having the hang of the piledriver he uses, he still gets killed because of the lack of ammo. The piledriver can only have 20 rounds with them. With his determination to survive, he thinks that a better weapon for killing mimics is necessary to survive longer.

In his 47th respawn, he infiltrates their base's R&D and meets a woman who is currently working on a power suit. Her name is Shasta Raylle and Keiji asks her to help him build a weapon similar to Rita's battleaxe.

She's a yandere. No kidding. She might bash your skull with that wrench.

Likes: Shasta Raylle! She's a really cute nerd. She looks like the girl from Zombie-Loan and she's just SOO CUTE!!! I know she's just a minor character (maybe she won't even show after this chapter) but I'm hoping we get more of her.

Also, more Death Note face. Takeshi Obata can create such a dark tone that grips you and doesn't let you go until the chapter is over. Story telling wise, it's like Death Note too, where Light was testing out the Death Notes capabilities and limitations, much like what Keiji is doing when he killed himself and him gaining experience from each death.

So close...

Dislikes: How long it took for Keiji to realize that melee weapons are the best at killing mimics. Before his second death, Keiji and Jin were long range shooters and they knew that the bullets weren't doing anything and yet he still goes out with only an assault rifle at his 12th time.

Don't brag when you have Loose Bowel Movement.

Quirks: Not really a quirk but the infiltration was planned out like someone who was playing the Metal Gear series who memorized everything from the walking pattern to the distractions. It's nice to see that he can memorize every move a guard does but I'm wondering, how many times was he caught sneaking in the base's R&D dept. What the punishments were for trespassing there.

Of course it's necessary to do that!

Predictions: Well, I'm thinking the next chapter will be about Keiji trying out several prototypes of battleaxes. He will die several times to find out which kind of metal or what kind of adjustments should be made with the armor and the weapon. That's all I really think is what's gonna happen. Please, more Shasta panels! I really love her!

Short but sweet. Thanks for reading this really short post about All you need is Kill chapter 3. Let me know about your thoughts on this chapter on the comments below! Mata ashita ne!
