Monthly! Attack on Titan: Before the Fall 4

This chapter doesn't tell much but it was a decent one. Kyokurou gets released from his captivity by believers. He rescues Charle and they walk away to freedom. That's basically it.

Not sure if this is the correct issue for this month's chapter.

Previously on: Attack on Titan: Before the Fall: A group of wall worshippers led by a pregnant leader were eaten by a 15 meter class titan. When the titan vanished, it left the undigested corpses of the wall worshippers. The pregnant leader; now dead, gave birth to Kyokurou; the Titan child. Sold for auction, the Mr. Innocencio bought him as a present for his son as a punching bag to get ready to be a soldier. Charle, confronted Kyokurou in an attempt to kill the titan child but her humanity stopped her. They later become friends and Kyokurou was taught how to read, write and speak their language. They planned to flee the Innocencio household when things started to steer sideways.

Currently watching Steins;Gate. If you watched it, you know what kind of soda it is.

Spoiler Alert! If you are gonna read this post, please read the actual manga first!

Warning! This series contains gore, graphic violence and blood.

Summary: Kyokurou awaits Charle to free him from his shackles but someone else came. A wall worshipper, calling him "master" and also telling him about their delayed rescue. Releasing Kyokurou from his shackles, the believer unsheathes his sword stained with blood. Kyokurou rises in anger as he asked the believer of who they have killed. Astonished, the believer first noticed the Titan child speak! He follows up with an answer, they have only killed guards so far. This fueled Kyokurou to save Charle from getting killed. He breaks his shackles without help from any tool and runs outside.

This is what I feel towards the mangaka.

While running through the front lawn, a believer sees Kyokurou sneak into the main building. He hits the him before the believer can hold his sword. He runs further into the mansion, passing by bodies of the guards then seeing a slain Dario Innocencio.

Ti*** %^@#$!

He goes closer into the inner chambers when he sees Charle and Shabii, fending for themselves against multiple titan worshippers. Kyokurou defeats the believers but Shabii kills them in cold blood. After an exchange of words about Charle and Kyokurou ganging up on the Innocencio family, Shabii points his blade to Kyokurou. He counters with a kick to the gut and a kick to the face. Shabii falls unconcious and Kyokurou kneels in pain.

I like Chuunibyou. It's moe.

Kyokurou then begins a conversation with Charle about both of their futures now that the father of the household is gone. Under the stormy skies, they escape from captivity and walk towards freedom; to Shingansha District.

Meanwhile, Captain Carlo, the man who carved out Kyokurou's mother's womb, stands tall at the top of Wall Maria declaring the revival of the Survey Corps. It looks like Captain Carlo and Kyokurou's fate are tied but how will they come together?

Foreshadowing I guess?

Likes: Kyokurou and Charle escape! Hopefully we get a lighter atmosphere now! I'm kind of sick of the all black atmosphere because he was in captivity.

Survey Corps! A part of the Survey Corps' history is revealed and it is now known that the Survey Corps was about to be abolished (because of the crisis 15 years ago) if not for Captain Carlo (this series loves its time skips).

Trust me, if you want romantic tragedies, please watch it.

Dislikes: Too slow, too dark, wasted panels. I feel like Satoshi Shiki (the mangaka for this series) is becoming lazy since he's just doing this to get paid. The series is just riding it's daddy's coattails (the main series) and now it just shows it's true colors. It's lazy. REALLY LAZY.

Quirks: Kyokurou breaks his own shackles. So this is telling me that he could've escaped a long time ago using his own power, without any kind of tool. Okay. So that's three chapters of story down the drain. If he could access that titan power from the start, he wouldn't be in this situation but no, he needed to "save" a damsel in distress to unleash Popeye's true power! No. You don't do that to me.

Random colored page.

Predictions: No one is picking up this series as of writing this. No one wants to deal with the large amount of cleaning and redrawing this series needs so this might be the first and the last monthly for this series. Hopefully not.

Here's to hoping that the next chapter is a bit brighter and not just full of darkness because it's repetitive and it makes me puke miasma. Tell me what you think about this series! Comment down below!
